Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver offers a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits Include:
Insurance.  Catholic Charities offers employees scheduled to work 30 hours a week or more a comprehensive health insurance package, including medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending account.  These benefits start the first day of the month after the first day of employment.


Medical.   We offer three comprehensive insurance plans to our employees.  All three plans offer $25 doctor visits for any medical provider.  The cost for major medical coverage varies depending on the plan.  All plan options utilize the Centura network for major medical services.

Dental.  We offer dental coverage through Guardian Dental.  Preventative services are covered under all three plans and all plans will cover up to 4 cleanings per year.  Covered amounts for basic and major services vary depending on the plan and network usage.

Vision.  Employees are offered vision insurance offered through VSP.  Participants can receive lenses every 12 months and frames every 24 months.  Contact lenses covered in lieu of frames and lenses.

Flexible Benefits Accounts. This plan allows employees to set-up pre-tax deductions for out-of-pocket expenses for health or dependent care charges.  The annual maximum amount for health reimbursement is $2,500.  Dependent care is a separate $5,000 maximum. Amounts withheld are not subject to income tax, social security or Medicare.

Life and Accidental Death. Our Life and ADD policy provides a $50,000 life benefit.  This benefit is 100% Agency paid. Additionally, spouses and children age 6 months-26 years have a life benefit of $2,000 per person.

Short Term Disability. STD insurance provides income protection in the event of short term disability.  After 30 days of disability, participants receive 60% of their pay. This benefit is 100% Agency paid.

Long Term Disability. LTD insurance provides income protection in the event of an extended disability.  After 90 days of disability, participants receive 60% of their pay. This benefit is 100% Agency paid. This benefit also provides full travel assistance, will preparation, and identity theft assistance.

403(b) Retirement Plan.  The Agency offers a 403(b) retirement plan. Employees are eligible to begin contributing immediately upon hire, and can contribute up to an annual maximum determined by the IRS (indexed annually). The 2014 maximum is $17,500 plus an additional $5,500 catch-up for employees who are 50 or over.   The plan offers a variety of funds through MassMutual.  After one year of employment, Catholic Charities will automatically contribute 5% of your pay.  This contribution vests over 5 years. Additionally Catholic Charities will match 50% of an employee’s contribution up to a maximum of 2%.  This contribution is 100% vested after 3 years.  Employees can rollover funds from other 403(b) or 401(k) accounts.

Paid Time OffEmployees accrue paid time off into Paid Annual Leave (PAL) and Extended Illness Bank (EIB).  Accrual rates are dependent upon regularly scheduled hours beginning the first full pay period worked.  PAL is used for holidays, vacation and the first three days of an illness.  EIB is used for illnesses extending beyond three days or hospitalization. 

Employee Assistance Program.  Catholic Charities provides free help to all our employees, their spouses and dependent children through an Employee Assistance Program provided by CIGNA.  Services include unlimited phone sessions and three face-to-face meetings with a counselor.

Public Service Credit Union.  Employees and their family members are eligible for membership at Public Service Credit Union.  PSCU provides a full menu of financial services and have numerous locations throughout metro Denver, plus free ATM access throughout Colorado and nationwide.

Regis University.  Employees receive a 10% discount off tuition for any of Regis’ undergraduate or graduate classes, including degree and/or certificate programs. Many programs are designed specifically for adult learners and include accelerated sessions, evening or weekend classes, and on-campus, online and directed study options.

Mt. Olivet Mortuary and Cemetery.  Employees receive a 30% discount on both pre-need and at-need services at Mt. Olivet Mortuary and Cemetery.
