About

Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Denver is an independent, non-profit corporation established in 1927.  We provide support, safety-net services to people of all faiths, background and cultures.  The agency has grown from a Depression-Era emergency assistance program to one of Colorado's largest non-profit human service providers.  Over the years, the agency has evolved to meet society's changing needs, but continues to stay true to its purpose of working with the vulnerable and the poor to alleviate poverty and promote self-reliance. We serve thousands of people each year in three interlocking areas: Women’s Services, Family and Child Care Services, and Housing and Shelter Services.  We are also a first responder in disaster relief services, such as the 2013 floods in Northern Colorado.

We are dedicated to helping people of all ages, faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and economic circumstances. We believe in providing the tools people need to reach self-sufficiency. We strive to assure that the basic necessities of life – food, clothing and shelter – are available to people in need. We offer opportunities and assistance to children and families, senior citizens and many others.

Catholic Charities provides helps to those in crisis, the poor and vulnerable, or at-risk from Metro Denver to Northern Colorado and the Western Slope. Some of our services include:  5 homeless shelters; 6 head start and early head start childcare centers, pregnancy support, adoption and foster care, kinship services, immigration services, emergency assistance, diaster recovery, mental health counseling, support and case management for seniors, and managing 26 low-income senior or family housing sites.

We could not carry out this vital mission without knowledgeable and professional staff dedicated to treating every client with dignity and respect.
